The Spirit of the Tarot and Astrology

For the last week or so I have been working with Gareth Knight’s The Magical World of the Tarot. His exercise on The Spirit of Tarot (The Fool) in particular. Basically, working with the deck as an actual wise person.

Something I have discovered about myself is I prefer to reflect on personal experience. Which shows up in a few ways in my life.

One is being present and experiencing presence with another person or animal, tree, plant, or body of water, etc....

Another is in my writing. Sharing experiences and impressions is far more likely to happen for me than picking a topic, doing research, and writing an essay.

Being present with my tarot cards turned out to be a very good approach. Insights come easier. And are deeper and more fluid in the moment.

Now I am wondering about taking the same approach with astrology. Could there be a Spirit of Astrology? Not sure how that would work with the personalities/energies of the planets.

Why I am curious is that astrology often feels like over fitting data in a system to me. Which in large part comes from my youth when I was designing futures trading systems. Getting a set of data to say whatever you want it to say isn't to hard.

Shifting perspective from systems and data to wise elder might help.
